Why We Standardise on a Non-Corrosive Twin Phased Array

A phased array aerial has a wider beam width and stronger directionality than a basic Yagi, which matters across the Bay of Plenty where plenty of properties don't have a perfectly clear line of sight to their transmitter, hills, trees and neighbouring rooflines all get in the way.

You'll see single phased array aerials used by some installers, generally suited to properties very close to a transmitter with a clean, direct line of sight. We standardise on the non-corrosive twin phased array for every install instead: one aerial that performs consistently regardless of exact distance or orientation, so there's one less variable to get wrong on the day.

The non-corrosive part matters just as much as the aerial type. Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a masthead or distribution amplifier?
Most properties don't. We test your actual signal on site before recommending anything. A masthead amplifier is only added for genuinely low-coverage areas, and a distribution amplifier only where a property has enough TV outlets that splitting the signal needs it. Amplifying a signal that's already strong can cause overload and a worse picture, not a better one.
Will a standard aerial handle Bay of Plenty's coastal conditions?
